Austin, Texas, July 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Campus Advantage®, a leader in student housing, providing property management, consulting, acquisitions, and development services, today announced the promotion of Jennifer Cassidy to Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer. In this new role, Cassidy will manage Campus Advantage’s Operations group alongside Scott Duckett, and will be directly responsible for managing all joint venture relationships as well as Management Information Systems, Leasing and Marketing, and Facilities.

Cassidy joined the Campus Advantage team in 2006, and throughout her many roles within the Operations team, has proven to be a highly-regarded leader in the organization. She most recently led the Asset Management team, where she worked in conjunction with the Investments group and Operations team to bridge the gaps between the property underwriting strategy and on-site execution.

“I couldn’t be more excited to take on this new role and work hand-in-hand with Scott to further strengthen our Operations group,” said Jennifer Cassidy, Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer at Campus Advantage. “This structure allows Scott and I to collectively offer a deeper focus on our respective areas of operations, utilizing the tools Campus Advantage has historically relied upon to drive more effective and efficient oversight of property performance - and ultimately, continued, predictable success for our clients. Bringing our two different, qualified perspectives together will drive the best business decisions and practices for the company overall.”

“Strengthening our Operations team is a huge positive for Campus Advantage clients,” said Mike Peter, President and CEO of Campus Advantage. “With the growth Campus Advantage has experienced in the last 12-18 months, both in size and the diversification of clients and properties, bringing on an additional Chief Operating Officer allows for a more streamlined focus on our relationships. I am confident that Jennifer’s extensive operations background, combined with Scott’s continued leadership in the organization, will provide a more standardized approach to operations best practices, which in the end will help deliver the best results for our clients.”

The Asset Management team will continue to report up through the Investments group, under the direction of Michael Orsak.  Erin Westhoff, Vice President, will oversee the Asset Management team and report to Orsak.
