White Space is a sci-fi thriller written by Ryan Colucci (Orient City, Suburban Cowboy) and Clay McCleod Chapman (Wendell and Wild, The Dragon’s Egg), and directed by VFX maven Ken Locsmandi in his feature debut. Producers include Locsmandi, Colucci, James Devoti and Mark B. Newbauer (George R.R. Martin’s The Skin Trade, The Mice Templar) of Mike The Pike Productions.

The film stars Holt McCallany (Netflix’s Mindhunter, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back) and Zulay Henao (Meet The Blacks, The House Next Door) along with James Devoti, Jocko Simms, Kody Kitchen, Mike Genovese and Tiffany Brouwer.

‘Beyond White Space’ is set in 2150 A.D. During its final harvest of the season, a deep-space fishing vessel encounters a rare creature, mammoth in size and highly territorial. Matters get worse when a vicious band of scavengers intercept the vessel, leaving them with nothing. With no cargo and few supplies, the crew makes the daring decision to venture into uncharted territory and attempt to capture the creature for a large black-market take.

Mike The Pike Productions is invested in the film with a notable equity stake (it’s most recent K-1 shows an 11.3% stake in the film’s profits after a 115% recoupment of original investment. The Company anticipates a lucrative return given the project’s immense production value, particularly the visual effects supplied by Locsmandi’s team at Filmworks FX.

Producer Mark B. Newbauer comments, “This film involved an incredibly talented cast and crew. Ryan and Clay concocted a fresh spin on a classic tale and Locsmandi and his team rounded it out with state-of-the-art visual effects. My hopes are that the film will serve as a springboard for all involved and I’m proud to mark it as my feature debut. I am working diligently to bring shareholder value to the company and will be announcing our path there as our advisors see fit.
