Taking Command of Healthcare—TeleTracking Client Conference is the Year’s Largest Gathering of Patient Flow Leaders, Command Center Experts and Disaster Preparedness Professionals

Health system executives and medical professionals come together for three days of education and collaboration on creating the best possible patient experience across the care continuum.

Pittsburgh, Sept. 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TeleTracking Technologies, Inc., dedicated to providing solutions that improve the patient experience across the care continuum, will present three days of engaging round-table discussions, interactive workshops, product boot camps, outcomes-driven client success stories, one-on-one consultations with experts and a live operational command center at its Annual Client Conference [TeleCon18], October 14-17, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, TX.

TeleTracking―setting trends nationally and internationally in providing centralized care that addresses patient and health system needs regardless of where care is being delivered― will focus on initiatives that support the organization’s mission to ensure that no one will ever have to wait for the care they need. Topics include physician engagement, IT innovation and collaboration, disaster/emergency preparedness, change management, and the components to build and manage operational command centers―along with insights into the strategic milestones TeleTracking is planning for the next 18 months.

The main stage events include:

  • A keynote address by Jake Poore, President & Chief Experience Officer, Integrated Loyalty Systems. Jake spent nearly two decades at the Walt Disney World Company in Florida helping to recruit, hire, train and align their 65,000 employees toward one end in mind: creating memorable experiences for individuals. Poore now does that in healthcare by helping health systems build world class patient and employee experiences.
  • Presentation of the second annual DAISY Award for Patient Flow Excellence. The award recognizes nurses, and teams of care providers who are led by a nurse, for their work in transitioning patients through the care delivery system.
  • Eric Epley, Executive Director from the Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council (STRAC) leadership team, responsible for a massive effort in 2017 to save lives during Hurricane Harvey, will discuss how health system collaboration and coordination benefited patients and maintained the integrity of healthcare for the community. A key asset available for deployment during such events is the AmBus, an ambulance-bus that is capable of caring for up to 20 patients at a time. The AmBus will be on display and available for touring during TeleCon18.
  • An in-depth disaster preparedness workshop designed to prepare and empower participants to handle the multitude of challenges that occur in a disaster situation. The topics addressed include regulatory compliance, technology and workflows to improve communication and efficiency, state and federal reporting requirements and case studies from Carilion Clinic, Methodist Healthcare, Health First and CHRISTUS Health who have dealt with recent disasters.

TeleCon18 also features interactive, engagement experiences:

  • Live Command Center: A popular addition last year, the live command center is back for 2018.  Participants can walk through at their own pace, ask questions and learn how with the right workflows and technology—along with analytics to predict future census—can solve everyday problems across the care continuum.
  • Innovation Lab: Another popular addition to last year’s conference―the Innovation Lab― returns this year offering a new phase of collaboration. Last year was focused on information gathering—this year is focused on applying those insights. For example, a project is currently under development to create a real-time, automated communication solution to expedite the clinical caregiver to transport handoff within TeleTracking’s patient transport mobile app.
  • TeleBar: TeleTracking patient flow experts will be available for one-on-one consultations.  All appointments will be scheduled using TeleTracking’s newest solution Community Scheduling and Workflow, which makes it possible to schedule both the appointment and receive updates on the appointment status―including any delays.

Finally, representatives from eighteen hospitals and health systems from across the country will present their successful, innovative approaches to using TeleTracking to drive positive outcomes—some of which include: David Chou, Chief Information & Digital Officer of Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, MO; Tom Stafford, VP & CIO of Halifax Health, Daytona Beach, FL; Christina McGuirk, RN, BSN, MSHA, NEA-BC, CENP, Chief Nursing Officer of Orlando Health-Health Central; Dr. Eric Brown, FACEP, Physician Executive of Palmetto Health, Columbia, SC; Patches Pace Haynes, MBA, MHA, RN, BSN, Director, GoodHealth Solutions Center of Seton Ascension, Austin, TX; Shanna Hall, MBA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, VP, Nursing of Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Torrance, CA; Rob Leeret, BS, BSN, Sr. Director, DocLine of UCHealth, Aurora, CO; Laura Duncan-Graham, MHA, Director of Behavior Health Services of Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic of UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA, among others.

Named one of Becker's "Great Places to Work" in 2017 and 2018 and a Pittsburgh Business Times “Corporate Citizenship Award” winner, TeleTracking delivers extraordinary outcomes that have been the subject of study by the RAND Corporation, in addition to being the perennial KLAS Patient Flow Category Leader.
