AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- King & Spalding today announced that Mel D. Bailey has joined as a partner in the firm’s Trial and Global Disputes practice group in the Austin office. Bailey has handled high-profile product liability and business litigation cases for more than 30 years. He has ample trial experience in the most challenging venues in the United States, having tried cases in Texas, California, New York, New Jersey, Wyoming, Utah, Oklahoma, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada and Florida.
“Mel will add depth and breadth to our trial bench for tort litigation, particularly for pharma and medical device, toxic torts and environmental, tobacco and consumer products cases,” said Andy Bayman, leader of King & Spalding’s Trial & Global Disputes practice group. “Mel is a very experienced and able trial lawyer who has tried more than 65 cases to verdict in his career.”
Bailey’s extensive courtroom experience has resulted in representation of some of the country’s most influential corporate clients in complex and high-stakes litigation, such as talc and asbestos cases.
