Alcide Cloud Security Platform Now Available in the New AWS Marketplace for Containers

AWS customers running containers have immediate access to Alcide’s Microservices Firewall

TEL AVIV, Israel, Nov. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alcide, provider of the first Microservices Firewall for application networking security, today announced it was selected as one of the first security solutions available in the new AWS Marketplace for Containers. AWS customers running and managing containers can now take advantage of Alcide’s cloud security platform, providing real-time visibility and observability across container environments and setting automated application-aware security policies.

“Businesses are increasingly moving towards the cloud to cut costs and increase agility, with majority of companies choosing AWS as the cloud provider of choice”, said Ranny Nachmias, CEO and Co-Founder of Alcide. “We are excited to be invited and become one of the first security solutions available in the new AWS Marketplace for Containers. Providing an extra layer of network protection to AWS’ existing cloud infrastructure, we aim to continuously offer our customers a simple and seamless deployment model through the marketplace, combined with our full management, control and enforcement of any type of cloud workload.”

The Alcide cloud-native security platform provides a single view into containerized environments and offers workload-level protection as an additional layer of security. Through application-aware security controls for cloud infrastructure, workloads and external service mesh, Alcide enables DevOps and security teams to effectively manage application and networking security. Companies moving to cloud-native app architecture can use Alcide to reduce and manage risk and exposure in unique workloads.

Expanding its available delivery options for cloud-enabled software, AWS Marketplace is adding support for software products that use Docker containers. The AWS Marketplace for Containers will now support container products that run on any Docker-compatible runtime, including Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) and Amazon Elastic Container Services for Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
