Former UBM Americas CRO David Kaye Joins Executive Management Team of NostalgiaCon in CRO Role

Kaye led sales innovation and transformation for UBM Americas (now Informa), owner of more than 100 tradeshows, expos and conventions


LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Decades fan conventions company NostalgiaCon announced today that it has tapped David Kaye, former Chief Revenue Officer for UBM Americas (now Informa), to lead the company’s U.S. sales operations as CRO. Until its recent acquisition, UBM Americas was the largest network of trade shows, exhibitions and conferences in the Americas.

In his new position, Kaye will lead all of NostalgiaCon’s sales strategy and culture. Kaye will identify growth opportunities while maximizing revenues for the three events the company has scheduled, starting in 2019 with NostalgiaCon’s Ultimate 80s Reunion in Anaheim, CA, July 4-6 (www.NostalgiaCon80s.com). Kaye will report to NostalgiaCon CEO Manny Ruiz.

In addition to his senior role at UBM Americas, Kaye’s career includes sales leadership at The Economist, where he was Chief Revenue Officer for the Americas, in addition to a global role creating, launching and directing The Economist Career Network. He started his career at Ziff-Davis Media, where he held the post of West Coast Associate Publisher at the company’s flagship publication, PC Magazine.
