The Company is advancing MMT candidates for the treatment of hyperammonemia in patients with UCD and in patients with hepatic encephalopathy. Kaleido has received Investigational New Drug (IND) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to initiate a Phase 2 clinical trial of KB195 in UCD and expects enrollment to begin during the first half of 2019. The Company has also initiated non-IND clinical studies evaluating KB195 in patients with UCD and KB174 in patients with cirrhosis.
