Dr. Anita Johnston Joins Integrative Life Center to Lead and Enhance Eating Disorders Programming

Nashville-based treatment center adds leading industry expert to expand individualized treatment programs for eating disorders, continuing its clinical growth


NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 29, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integrative Life Center (ILC), a leading community-based behavioral health care provider, today announced the addition of Anita Johnston, PhD, CEDS as its Executive Director for Eating Disorders Programming. In this new role at ILC, Dr. Johnston will be responsible for growing the capabilities of ILC’s eating disorder programming through incorporating her well-renowned personalized treatment approach.

As ILC’s Executive Director of Eating Disorders Programming, Dr. Johnston will further develop current programming to include a detailed, customized program for those in need of treatment for eating disorders. The expanded programming will include integration of Dr. Johnston’s approach to treatment and will also include the addition of specialized personnel for aiding recovery. As a leading clinical expert, Dr. Johnston’s approach is widely considered best practice for addressing disordered eating. Her best-selling book Eating in the Light of the Moon and online courses follow her individualized, patient-centered approach to recovery.
