Consolidated Communications Builds Fiber Connectivity for the Future of Roseville, California

Two fiber building projects bring high-speed Internet to future communities

Roseville, Calif., May 02, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ: CNSL) a leading broadband and business communications provider, is building additional fiber network in fast-growing Roseville, Calif. with two new fiber builds.

The first fiber build, which is underway, will bring fiber-to-the-unit for the Fiddyment Ranch apartment complex, in the Campus Oaks Development located at Woodcreek and Blue Oaks Boulevards. When completed, the new apartment community will be home to 300 families in 18 buildings. Consolidated has completed the initial fiber infrastructure, with the final fiber-to-the-unit work to be coordinated with each building’s construction. The project is scheduled to be complete in late 2019.

Additionally, Consolidated began laying the main fiber-line infrastructure in March to serve part of the Sierra Vista Specific Plan north of Baseline Road. The seven-phase plan area will offer more than 8,000 single and multi-family homes, approximately 260 acres of commercial space, and a network of parks and open spaces serving the community over the next ten years.

Combined these projects will provide high-speed internet options - up to 1 Gigabit - to nearly 30,000  Roseville residents over the next ten years.

“Consolidated is investing in the future of Roseville,” said Joseph Glenn, senior director of residential and small business sales. “These projects provide the technology backbone for how we live and work. We are committed to keeping communities connected and enhancing lives for years to come.”
