Bendheim Introduces Metalix™ 2 Architectural Glass Collection

Expanded Metalix Collection Brings Elegant Hospitality-Inspired Aesthetic to Offices

NEW YORK, NY, May 08, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bendheim is introducing its Metalix™ 2 Glass Collection. The new architectural glass designs feature intricate woven metal interlayers in silver, bronze, and rose gold colors. The laminated glass brings a luxe hospitality aesthetic to contemporary office interiors, as well as enhanced visual and acoustic privacy.

The Metalix 2 collection consists of eight new glass types – Palest Bronze Wire, Rose Gold Wire, Fine Dual-Sided Mesh, Silver Twill Weave, Silver Mesh, Bronze Mesh, Fine Bronze Mesh, and Diamond Weave, available through the company’s nationwide representative network. The fine woven metal “fabrics” lend visual texture and subtle shimmer to walls, and can be mirror-backed for cladding applications. Ultra-clear (low-iron) glass encapsulates the fabrics, preserving them from the elements and providing added brilliance and structure. The durable, non-porous glass surfaces are suitable for high-traffic applications, including main offices, lobbies, and elevators. The laminated glass also offers enhanced acoustic privacy, an added benefit for office fronts, doors, and partitions.

The collection answers the growing need for more visually expressive, refined interior materials in commercial office applications. Modern work spaces are increasingly embracing a luxe hospitality and high-end residential design esthetic to entice a discerning, Instagram-literate workforce.

“Bendheim is known for these unusual, special glass products that add something new and unexpected to the design of the space,” said Steven Jayson, Bendheim Executive Vice President. “The new Metalix 2 Collection offers the ability to fine-tune office design and adapt it to progressive tastes. It is sophisticated and ultra-modern.”

The Metalix 2 Collection is available in thicknesses ranging from approx. ¼” to ½”, in sizes up to 54” by 120”. For larger projects requiring a custom aesthetic, Bendheim’s design consultants are available to collaborate with A&D professionals and the company’s local representatives to reimagine any of the new Metalix in custom colors and a range of opacities.
