COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS INSTITUTE (CAI) PRESENTS THE 2019 ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXPOSITION: COMMUNITY NOW, MAY 15-18, IN ORLANDO

Largest international event for homeowners and professionals living and working in homeowners associations, condominium communities, and housing cooperatives.

Orlando, Fla., May 15, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Community Associations Institute (CAI) is proud to host the largest international gathering of homeowners, community managers, and businesses serving community associations worldwide at the 2019 CAI Annual Conference and Exposition, May 15-18, in Orlando, Fla., at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. Nearly 2,000 attendees will come together to share ideas and network with community association peers from around the world during the three-day event.

Keynote speakers Peter Sheahan and Linda Kaplan Thaler headline this year’s conference. Sheahan is the founder and chief executive officer of the Karrikins Group, recognized as the leading expert on today’s talent recruitment and retention. Thaler is a best-selling author and advertising leader. Attendees will discover how “nice” companies decrease employee turnover, lower recruitment costs, and increase productivity.

CAI projects the community association housing model will become the majority form of housing in the U.S. by 2040. Today, with approximately 70 million Americans living in community associationscommonly referred to as planned communities (e.g. homeowners associations, condominiums, and housing cooperatives)the need to educate homeowners on understanding their rights and responsibilities is essential. And, as the role of a community manager evolves and faces new challenges, CAI's annual conference continues to be the number one source of world-class education and networking that elevates management skills and career opportunities. In addition, CAI's three-day exposition hall will feature nearly 200 companies and professional services that support community association living.

“We are excited to return to Orlando and host the 2019 annual conference,” says Thomas M. Skiba, CAE, CAI's chief executive officer. “With nearly 10 million Florida residents living and working in community associations, the state provides an amazing opportunity to showcase some of most successful community associations in the world. This year, homeowners, professional managers, and industry partners will come together under one roof to share today’s best practices and discuss the scope of what the future holds for this growing housing model.”
