Cloud-Native Security Innovator Alcide Expands Executive Leadership for Global Market Acceleration

Bolsters large-scale Kubernetes deployment and enterprise cloud transformation, migration and security expertise

TEL AVIV, Israel and SAN FRANCISCO, May 15, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alcide, provider of the leading code-to-production cloud network security platform for workloads running on Kubernetes, today announced new strategic hires for the company. Jan Poczobutt, a former Sales and Business Development Leader with Barracuda Networks, Dome9 (now part of CHKP) and Velostrata (now part of the Google Cloud Platform), joins as Vice President of World Wide Sales, and will leverage his vast experience in enabling enterprises to embrace proven cloud transformation, migration and security models for Alcide’s growing portfolio of customers. Joining him will be Adi Sapir, a former leader at Motorola, Siemens and Marvell, as Vice President of Engineering, spearheading Alcide's product innovation roadmap, bringing extensive cross-cloud and large systems scalability expertise.

“We are excited to add Jan and Adi to our growing team of cloud-native technology innovators,” said Ranny Nachmias, CEO of Alcide. “Alcide has pioneered category-defining solutions such as the world’s first microservices firewall and continuous Kubernetes security solution. With Jan and Adi building on those successes and expanding our ecosystem and new platform innovations, Alcide will continue to be at the forefront of the market, empowering enterprises to effectively migrate to the cloud and capitalize on cloud-native, Kubernetes and DevOps opportunities.”

Jan will be working with customers and major cloud providers as well as expanding Alcide’s growing ecosystem of public cloud providers, partners and joint solutions like with the recent, Alcide-Fortinet hybrid cloud network solution. Over the last 7 years he has been focused on Public Cloud and has been instrumental in the success of several companies’ GTM strategy in this rapidly growing market.

“Through my extensive experience working with customers and partners, it’s become increasingly clear that security concerns around cloud native architectures and methodologies are the primary impediment to adoption and deployment,” shared Jan Poczobutt. “Alcide is uniquely positioned to address these concerns across the software development lifecycle with its unified K8s and network security platform, I could not be more excited to join the team now to accelerate their growth globally."

Adi Sapir will lead the ambitious platform innovation roadmap for Alcide, leveraging his large-scale software systems expertise and providing continuous, highly-available services to Alcide’s customers. Adi brings over 30 years of high tech industry experience and a proven track record of operating globally as an engineering executive at several start-ups.

"Cloud-native is the next paradigm in computing, the new foundation for bringing differentiated solutions to market, and Alcide is at the forefront of securing this movement,” shares Adi Sapir. “I am thrilled to be part of such a winning team, who has already pushed a number of innovations to market, and will continue to build on this success."
