ROUYN-NORANDA, Quebec, July 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- It is with enthusiasm that the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) announces that George Burns, President and CEO of Eldorado Gold Corporation, will be the Honorary President of Xplor 2019, on October 23rd-24th. In addition to being present at the event, Mr. Burns will present a conference.
Mr. Burns joined Eldorado Gold in 2017. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Goldcorp. He also held the positions of Senior Vice President, Operations in Mexico and Vice President for Canada and the United States respectively. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Centerra Gold Inc.
Eldorado Gold is a Canadian gold and base metals producer with more than 25 years of experience exploring for, building and operating mines in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
