New Acquisitions donates school supplies to American Kidney Services for students suffering from kidney disease

Atlanta, GA, Nov. 19, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New Acquisitions North – a promotional advertising and marketing firm – teamed up with American Kidney Services (AKS) on Aug.16, 2019 to donate school supplies for students suffering from kidney disease. Giving back to the community is an important part of the firm’s culture, and they continued that tradition with this school supply drive.

According to the American Kidney Services website, AKS is a local, non-profit Atlanta charity that strives to help those suffering from kidney disease who are in financial need. They do this by collecting clothing and other household items donated by the public at various drop off locations throughout Atlanta, Dunwoody, Marietta, Smyrna, and all surrounding areas and putting them up for resale. Proceeds from those sales are sent to the American Kidney Fund, which provides direct financial assistance to patients suffering from kidney disease.

The New Acquisitions team was proud to contribute to an organization that shares their commitment to helping others. Donations ranged from new binders and notebooks to construction paper and crayons to pens and pencils, providing supplies needed at all grade levels. “I lost a very close relative to kidney disease, and I’m always excited to do community service events that benefit children, so I was really excited to be a part of this opportunity,” said Smithy Sony, a New Acquisitions team member who was responsible for organizing the event.

“It was really rewarding for the company to get together and use our resources to help provide a great start to the school year for tomorrow’s future leaders,” said Co-Director of Operations at New Acquisitions North, Victor Baruchman.
