Northrop Grumman Names Frank Moore as Joint Stars Vice President


MELBOURNE, Fla., June 19, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- William F. (Frank) Moore has joined Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) as vice president and deputy program manager of the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) program, which is part of the company's Integrated Systems and Aerostructures (ISA) sector.

Mr. Moore, who reports to the vice president and integrated product team leader for Joint STARS, will assist in the direction of program planning, organize and establish strategy, and execute continuing related programs and associated business activities.

A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Mr. Moore had a distinguished career with the Air Force, ultimately achieving the rank of major general. During his career, he was responsible for acquisition management and program oversight for many key strategic defense programs. Most recently, he served as deputy director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology, where he directed the activities of more than 2,000 military and civilian personnel assigned to this $2 billion agency.

Mr. Moore has a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from the Air Force Academy and a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, University of Pennsylvania.
