VoIP Telecom, Inc. In Negotiations with Yahoo! Asia to Launch Asia-Pacific Marketing Campaign


KIRKLAND, Wash., July 6, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- VoIP Telecom Inc. (OTCBB:VOPT) is pleased to announce today that it is planning an Asian-pacific marketing campaign and is in negotiations with Yahoo! Asia (Nasdaq:YHOO) to build brand awareness and revenues by attracting corporate and retail customers to utilize its new Singapore based VoIP Network.

VoIP Telecom, Inc. recently deployed a robust VoIP Network based in Singapore and Los Angeles, which utilizes Clarent servers (Nasdaq:CLRN) and can handle up to 6 million long distance minutes monthly. VoIP Telecom, Inc. is focused on pursuing retail customers and wholesale customers. The company is a "carriers carrier" and can pursue contracts with major companies looking to capture market share in Asia, such as AT&T, Sprint, WorldCom, and US West (NYSE:USW).
