Jefferson Smurfit Group Owns more than 55 Percent of Munksjo

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 15, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Following Jefferson Smurfit Group's increased offer to the shareholders in Munksjo of SEK 85 in cash for each share in Munksjo, Smurfit Holdings AB ("Smurfit") has acquired shares in the market. Including those already owned prior to the offer, Smurfit now owns in excess of 55 percent of the shares in Munksjo.

Advisers
