Longwood Police Department to Field Test E-Rex Dragonfly

E-Rex and Florida Law Enforcement Agency Join Forces to Expand the 21st Century Mobile Patrol-Office

MIAMI, Nov. 4, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- E-Rex, Inc. (OTCBB:EREX) announced today that the Longwood Police Department located in Seminole County Florida will field test the Company's award-winning six-in-one prototype device, Dragonfly. The Department's patrol division will test Dragonfly in a pilot program designed to fully empower officers in the field with mobile access to the Internet and e-mail, coupled with plain paper color printing, faxing, scanning and copying, all built into one wireless-ready device.

The Longwood Police Department is a forty-man agency charged with protecting a diverse community which includes four main highway arteries, five schools and nearly two thousand businesses, all within a jurisdiction containing a daytime population of over seventy thousand. With a tap on Dragonfly's touch screen, officers in the testing program will be able to wirelessly access the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System and the Department of Motor Vehicles databases all over a secure CDPD network.

"In a time when financial constraints prevent an agency from adding new officers, we must rely more and more on new technologies like Dragonfly to help us better protect our citizens," stated Longwood Police Chief, Tom Jackson. "We are pleased to participate in the project and we plan to invite other state, local and federal law enforcement agencies to join us in reviewing the capabilities of Dragonfly as a potential new weapon in the war against terrorism."

"We feel that Dragonfly's unique ability to print, scan, store and share vital information can be a tremendous benefit to law enforcement agencies worldwide," stated Carl Dilley, E-Rex President and CEO. "We plan to use the data gathered from this and other field test participants to enhance Dragonfly's marketability to potential partners and to ultimately help us build a better product for the end-user."
