Sitestar Partners with Leading DSL Provider to Expand Coverage Nationally

LYNCHBURG, Va., Dec. 16, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Internet service provider Sitestar.net, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sitestar Corporation (OTCBB:SYTE), today announced that it has partnered with a leading national provider to provide national broadband DSL and T1 Internet services to businesses and small home office customers beyond its regional footprint.

According to Joseph Albanese, Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development for the company "small businesses need broadband, if they are to remain competitive." The cost savings that result from sharing a single broadband Internet connection such as DSL frequently offsets the entire cost of the high-speed service.

Sitestar's staff specializes in helping companies financially justify the move to broadband, frequently with very little or no additional recurring costs. "Now, we can assist customers with the migration to dedicated IP services, in most areas of the country," Albanese continued.

One of the strategic initiatives spearheaded by newly appointed Sitestar Chairman and CEO, Frank Erhartic, Jr., is to build a national brand: "We have years of experience profitably delivering narrowband and broadband Internet services to small businesses, home office and residential customers."

Sitestar will begin to establish its national identity, and to expand its marketing efforts from region to a broader focus. "We have substantial untapped intellectual assets, including our DSLNOW.COM and RECHARGE.NET domains. It is time to capitalize on these assets at the national level," Erhartic went on to say.
