CoolSavings Announces Link on Defense Commissary Agency Web Site; Provides Special Grocery Coupons for America's Military Families

CHICAGO, June 4, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- CoolSavings, Inc. (OTCBB:CSAV), an online direct marketing and media company that provides smarter solutions to connect marketers to their target consumers, today announced that CoolSavings will supply CoolSavings Marketing Network coupons from major grocery manufacturers to U.S. military service members and their families through a link on the Defense Commissary Agency Web "links" page at www.commissaries.com.

DeCA is a United States government agency that operates a worldwide chain of nearly 280 commissaries providing groceries at cost to U.S. military personnel, retirees and their families as part of the military benefits package. DeCA will join more than 40 top Web properties on the CoolSavings Marketing Network (CSMN), an Internet distribution network for coupons from consumer packaged goods manufacturers, retailers, and restaurants. Other CSMN distribution partners include leading newspaper, grocery and lifestyle sites such as Knight Ridder, Hollinger International, The Weather Channel's weather.com and allrecipes.com.

In addition to CSMN coupons, which are distributed across all distribution partner sites, the CoolSavings link on the DeCA Web site will also enable advertisers to offer exclusive coupons to military families.

"We are proud to help provide valuable savings to America's military families through our presence on the commissary Web site," commented Mathew Moog, president and CEO of CoolSavings, Inc. "Recent events have been a strong reminder of the ongoing hardships members of the Armed Services and their families endure to serve our country. Our link with the commissary system is a small way for CoolSavings to help out."

"The Defense Commissary Agency is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for America's military service members and their families," said Kaye Kennedy, chief of corporate communications for DeCA. "Providing additional savings opportunities through coupon providers such as CoolSavings enhances the essential benefit commissaries offer to the military community."
