RapidTag(tm) was designed to rapidly screen, check-in and tag emergency responders to large-scale incidents and disasters. The system automatically strips bar code or magstripe data from state-issued drivers licenses to create incident-specific credentials. Each tag contains basic data on the responder -- including name, agency, rank, and qualifications -- as well as what site permissions the responder has with respect to Expiration Date, and permissible Locations or Functions. All information is also encoded in a PDF417 high-capacity barcode to automate data capture, permission screening, and personnel accountability. The responder's driver's license can be placed in a pouch at the bottom of the tag for verification of a state-issued, photo-ID.
RapidTag(tm) is 100% compatible with the Fire-Trax(r) personnel accountability system so that, after tagging, the responders can be automatically tracked at site. Just scan the RapidTag ID to capture WHO is at site with WHAT qualifications & site permissions, WHERE are they located and WHEN did they get there.
