STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- ReadSoft has received a software order from Nordea, the leading bank group in the Nordic and Baltic Sea region. Initially, the FORMS software will be put to work in Oslo, Copenhagen and Arhus to process 2.5 million receipts from night-time cash boxes.
The Nordic bank/finance group Nordea has over 1,200 bank offices in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Poland and the Baltic countries.
Automatic data capture software from ReadSoft is now being implemented in Norway and Denmark to facilitate the control of cash deposited into night-time cash boxes. When shop-owners hand in the day's earnings to the banks, they also hand in a receipt summarizing the amount of deposited money. It is this receipt which ReadSoft's software will read, interpret and verify to make sure that the amount of money is correct. In all, FORMS will automate the processing of some 10,000 documents daily. FORMS will also be integrated with Scancoins larger control system.
