SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 26, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- "Papason: Photographs from Havana" opens Saturday, Oct. 11, at the T. Heritage Art Gallery, 3219 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.

The exhibition runs through October 25 and marks the debut of father and son photojournalists Roger and Evan Pondel. It features more than 20 images, with subjects ranging from children to politics, to slices of daily Havana life.

"The plight of Cuba today has been photographically captured with sensitivity and warmth," said Tim Heritage, gallery proprietor. "The images represent an eclectic mix of Cuban realism that is both captivating and exciting."

Heritage said the artists and gallery will donate a portion of the proceeds to the InnerKids Foundation, Santa Monica, a non-profit group dedicated to teaching life skills that help children and teenagers achieve their full academic, physical and emotional potential. The foundation's Website address is www.innerkids.org.

A reception and private viewing with the photographers will be held at the T. Heritage Art Gallery, October 11, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. For reservations, call 310.315.9562. For more information about the gallery, visit its website, www.theritage.com.
