HydroFlo Announces Shipment of Basin Aeration System to North Carolina Poultry Processing Plant

RALEIGH, N.C., July 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- HydroFlo, Inc. (OTCBB:HYRF) today announced that its subsidiary, HydroFlo Water Treatment, has received an order for basin aeration units at Circle S Foods, a poultry processing plant in Teachey, North Carolina, for use in a wastewater basin of approximately 500,000 gallons.

"The HydroFlo Water Treatment marketing and sales effort continues to make inroads in the industrial and public wastewater sector, including some 16,000 publicly owned wastewater treatment plants, 100,000 major pumping stations, 600,000 miles of sanitary sewers, and 200,000 miles of storm sewers. This installation will provide a benchmark site for use of our basin aeration systems," commented Dennis Mast, CEO of HydroFlo.

The units were shipped almost immediately after order and are scheduled for installation and start-up within one week. Management of the poultry plant became interested in the HydroFlo system due to a number of its features, including (1) fine bubble aeration without membranes; (2) energy efficiency; (3) low horsepower requirements; (4) low maintenance; (5) quiet operation; and (6) high efficiency oxygen transfer. The plant will be able to replace the 150 horsepower of blowers and 2,000 membranes that are currently in use with an energy efficient HydroFlo system.

Membranes of the system currently in use at the plant have deteriorated and ruptured because of the high temperature and pressures required to dissolve oxygen into water. The HydroFlo system was selected due to the fine bubble diffuser failure in the existing system and the ability of the rapid response offered by HydroFlo's technology. The basin aeration units will also provide high efficiency aeration at minimal operating costs, with no membranes to foul or rupture, and transfer efficiency is 200%-300% better than fine bubble diffusion.

"We are extremely pleased to announce this order and look forward to demonstrating the effectiveness of our basin aeration technology to this industry," added Mr. Mast.
