Association for Women in Technology Recognizes Industry Professionals as "Woman/Person of The Month"

Orange County Nonprofit Celebrates Supporters of Its Mission


IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Association for Women in Technology (AWT) today announced its Woman/Person of the Month recipients for the months of April through June 2004. Recipients for the respective months include Marc Levin, philanthropist; Reverend Sima Safaee, certified life coach, Living in Harmony; and Laura Peters, owner of International Software Systems. These individuals were recognized by AWT for their personal contributions of financial resources and/or talents empowering women to be successful in technology fields.

"Our monthly award applauds outstanding individuals who have generously given their time, talent or treasure to AWT in support of our programs including our technology workshops for Girl Scouts, mentorship and education initiatives," said Cynthia Cotteta, president of AWT. "Our organization is run solely by part-time volunteers, so we rely heavily upon the efforts and financial contributions of our members and associates. We congratulate our award recipients and are grateful for their support."
