STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 22, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The year 2005 will bring about important changes in financial reporting with company accounts being reported under IFRS. Skandia will present IFRS information according to the following announcements:
1 February 2005, IFRS Briefing
Skandia will be holding an IFRS briefing for institutional investors and financial analysts on 1 February 2005 to run through the impact the introduction of IFRS will have on Skandia's financials. The presentation will provide an overview of the development of the IFRS requirements, the changes in accounting principles for Skandia and our current understanding of the impact on formats, opening equity as per 1 January 2004 and net income for the first half of 2004. A separate invitation will be sent out. A live webcast of the IFRS briefing, as well as a slide presentation, will be available on the internet, at www.skandia.com. Skandia will also issue a press release summarising the content of the presentation.
28 February 2005, Year end results 2004
In the release of our 2004 Swedish GAAP results, we will include similar reconciliations as in the presentation on 1 February. The annual report for 2004 will also include an IFRS section with a more detailed technical description of the changes in accounting principles.
28 April 2005, IFRS full year 2004 impact
The IFRS impact on full year 2004 profit & loss and balance sheet will be announced on 28 April. We will present profit and loss and balance sheet comparatives for each quarter 2004.
31 May 2005, First quarter results 2005
Skandia's first financial report under IFRS will be the interim report as per 31 March 2005. Please note that the reporting date has been changed.
