LOS ANGELES, March 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT) today announced that it has appointed Mr. Nima Montazeri as the Vice President of Strategic Development. According to the UDTT's CEO, Jacques Tizabi, "Mr. Montazeri brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in forming domestic and global alliances for distribution of our bio-terror detection units. We look forward to Mr. Montazeri actively leading the company's production process and its alliances with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for timely, effective and efficient delivery of goods to various markets." Mr. Montazeri will be responsible to seek and execute global distribution opportunities.
Prior to joining Universal Detection, Mr. Montazeri has been active in corporate finance. He has also spent years structuring and overseeing several international trade deals, exporting industrial electrical equipment from Canada to various parts of the world. As part of his previous engagement with UDT, he has acted as the main figure in negotiating the Company's distribution deal with Sartec Saras Tecnologie Srl in Italy.
