MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Certified Public Accountants have a new Web site that offers them information and tools to make them more efficient and better prepared to help their clients. First Tennessee developed the site, www.CPAFirstResource.com, as the official financial services provider for the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. The site is unlike any other in the country.
CPAs provide accounting services to businesses and individuals, but because they are trusted advisers, their clients often ask them for advice on other financial topics. First Tennessee developed CPA First Source to give CPAs the information and resources they need to meet their clients' needs.
Membership to www.CPAFirstResource.com is free to CPAs, as is much of the information and news contained on the site. The site includes "state of the industry" reports on more than 100 industries and scores of articles on a wide variety of financial and business topics. Business services from First Tennessee and other providers also are available on the site. Among the tools available on the site, ProfitCents takes complex financial data and converts it to easy-to-understand, client-friendly reports, and Capital Confirmation takes a manual, paper-based confirmation process and makes it entirely electronic.
"Since we've been working with the Tennessee Society of CPAs, we've learned that CPAs want to be able to answer their clients' questions, but they need the resources to do that quickly and accurately," said Deb Peterson, manager of business development & sales support at First Tennessee. "The Web site can help CPAs develop deeper relationships with their clients, and we hope that, in turn, First Tennessee can develop deeper relationships with CPAs because they know that we understand their business and want to help them do an even better job."
