Pacific Sands, Inc. Experiences Continuing Steep Rise in Sales

RACINE, Wis., May 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pacific Sands, Inc. (OTCBB:PFSD) is pleased to offer this update on recent marketing strategies, sales efforts and results.

Article 3:

This is the third part in a series of "State of the Company" articles issued by Pacific Sands, Inc.

In late 2005 Pacific Sands initiated aggressive marketing and sales strategies aimed at propelling the EcoOne line of spa treatment products to the forefront of the alternative spa care market. New labeling, packaging and marketing materials, coupled with an expanding sales force and an aggressive end-user marketing campaign have served to greatly increase the product's presence in the retail and wholesale marketplace.

As a partial result of these increased efforts, the company is currently averaging more dollars in direct retail sales than it did in total combined sales for fiscal year 2004 despite the fact that we no longer operate out of a retail storefront.

Over the past several weeks, Pacific Sands has added two primary distribution centers in Canada and Europe who have taken initial stocking orders. Our new Canadian distributor reports that they sold half of their inventory before even taking delivery.

The company has increased its domestic retail presence substantially over the last several weeks as well. In addition to numerous individual retail outlets, we have added Spa Parts Plus (http://www.spaparts.com/) to our growing list of distributors. Spa Parts Plus, a wholesale distribution outlet catering to hundreds of pool and spa retail and service outlets, will feature the EcoOne and Rainforest Blue products in their upcoming catalogs. We have also added Doheny's Water Warehouse (http://www.waterwarehouse.com/) to our retail distribution outlets. Water Warehouse sells tens of millions of dollars in pool and spa supplies annually through their widely distributed catalog and internet site.

Management is currently in discussion with a number of spa and chemical manufacturers who have expressed interest in the EcoOne product lines. Most notably, in February, President/CEO Michael Wynhoff and VP of Marketing and Sales Michael Michie attended a sales conference with the top dealers of a major American spa manufacturer. The manufacturer has since tested the EcoOne products extensively. Pacific Sands has also worked with them to develop packaging and marketing materials for their marketing campaigns. While Pacific Sands has not yet received an initial order from the manufacturer, management has been assured that the privately labeled products will be introduced with their upcoming new spa models.

The next company update will coincide with the release of the 10-Q for the quarter ending March 31, 2005 this Friday, May 13.
