Media Advisory -- On June 29, Wyland Ocean Challenge West Coast Tour to Make a Clean Sweep Through Vancouver

VANCOUVER, B.C., June 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- On Wednesday, June 29, Marine life artist Wyland continues his campaign against water pollution with conservation education, painting and science experiments at the Vancouver Aquarium. In partnership with local conservation groups, the artist has created "Water's Extreme Journey," a 1,000-square-foot interactive maze that follows a clean drop of water through mountains, rivers, city streets, storm drains and into the ocean. The effort is part of a five-year program to draw attention to the health of all major water systems throughout the nation. Last year, the foundation conducted a 17-state East Coast Cleanup Tour. The artist will also join children and adults to create a 160-square-foot water-themed mural, and participate in clean-water science experiments. The event will be preceded by a community beach cleanup with the Surfrider Foundation.
