Amsterdam Court of Appeal Rejects All Claims Against Tele2's Offers for Versatel

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 27, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tele2 AB ("Tele2") (Stockholmsborsen: TEL2A and TEL2B) (Other OTC:TLTZF), the leading alternative pan-European telecommunications company, announces that the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal has today rejected all injunctive relief claims by certain shareholders in Versatel and the Dutch shareholders association (VEB) against Tele2's offers for all outstanding shares and convertible bonds in Versatel.

The rejected claims were based on objections against the offers, the resolutions scheduled for Versatel's shareholders meeting on 29 September 2005 and the contemplated steps following the offers. Tele2 can now proceed with the offer process as planned.
