Tribeworks' Atlas TG Receives Agreement With Malta Government for New IT Training University


GZIRA, Republic of Malta, Oct. 19, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tribeworks, Inc. (OTCBB:TWKS) announced that its principal subsidiary, Atlas Technology Group (Atlas TG) and the Malta Ministry for Investment, Industry and Information Technology, signed a Letter of intent to jointly develop "Atlas University" -- the country's first high technology training center.

The joint project, "Atlas University," as the company is calling it, will be the first of its kind for the Maltese government, and will train IT professionals to meet the demanding needs of IT support worldwide. With Malta's growing IT economy, thousands of highly trained IT personnel are projected to be needed in the coming five years, especially with projects like Smart City, (a pending joint development between Malta and Dubai's Internet City) under development.

Robert Altinger, Executive Chairman of Atlas Technology Group, together with Dr. Austin Gatt, the Maltese Minister of Investment, Industry and Information Technology (MIIIT), and Claudio Grech, Malta's Head of Secretariat (Education), officially announced the launch of Atlas TG's operations as a software application support provider, at the Hilton Hotel, St. Julians, Malta on 18 September, 2006.

Ms. Isabelle Bonello, Manager, Malta Information Society Secretariat, states: "The Ministry for Investment, Industry, and IT would like to officially declare its intent to collaborate with Atlas Technology Group in developing a custom educational programme which will supply suitably qualified employees to the same company."

"Atlas University" will offer a highly structured set of technical and operational IT courses, specifically focused on IT management and support. Designed around management's 25-year experience in supporting worldwide IT infrastructures for firms such as JP Morgan and Microsoft, the center aims to offer best-of-breed support practices and offer certifications upon completion.
