NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- FJA-US (FJA) is pleased to announce that Suncorp-Metway Ltd. has licensed FJA's Sales & Service Suite and extended the use of FJA's Product Machine. FJA's software will facilitate the modeling, development and distribution of the company's personal lines insurance products.
Suncorp first licensed FJA's Product Machine to improve rating sophistication for personal lines. After reaching a significant level of rating excellence in this area, Suncorp chose to work with FJA-US to extend the Product Machine's capabilities to incorporate the business, marketing and segmentation rules and distribution via the Internet.
A soft launch of the new Internet "facility" proved the Product Machine capable of handling the expected number of hits and quotes, and a significant percentage of fulfillments are now being completed by Suncorp's call centers.
"FJA supported the web design activity and produced estimates for an incremental development approach," said John Hatton, a project manager in Suncorp's IT division. "Construction and implementation proceeded as planned with best in class personal insurance offerings now available on the Internet."
The proven success that Suncorp experienced when the Product Machine was implemented encouraged the company to extend the capabilities of the system as described above, and to also implement FJA-US's Sales & Service Suite for its first Internet roll-out.
