As EZ Connector's flagship product, the EZ-7PUHD is the first plug/socket combination of its kind on the market, improves the reliability of the vehicle/trailer connection, and is designed as a universal configuration that can adapt to a variety of applications. Compared to the electrical connections within today's traditional pin/socket plugs, the EZ-7PUHD uses spring-loaded face-to-face contacts, ensuring both faultless and safe connections. - Vehicle socket, which is comprised of seven floating spring-loaded pins, attaches to the vehicle near the hitch and includes two feet of pre-attached cable. - Trailer plug, which includes fixed contacts and two silicon O-ring seals, attaches to the trailer and includes four feet of pre-attached cable. - Dummy O-ring-sealed plug for insertion into the back of the vehicle to keep the socket free of contaminants when not in use, as well as a dummy socket, which is attached to the trailer tongue to hold the plug when not in use, or the dummy plug when the trailer is in use.
Plus, the EZ-7PUHD's patented, feature-rich design includes:
- A magnet, which has been integrated into both the plug and socket, is used to immediately hold the plug and socket together upon first contact. - An external indexing feature allows you to easily rotate the plug inside the socket allowing for the plug to slide in and make contact once it assumes the proper position.
