Nordea sells shares in card processing company

Nordea sells its 39% stake in the Swedish card transaction company
CEKAB.

Nordea owns CEKAB together with Svenska Handelsbanken (37%), Swedbank
(21%) and Danske Bank (3%). All banks sell their stakes at the same
time, giving the buyer, Norwegian company EDB Business Partner, a
100% ownership. The deal is expected to be completed in the coming
months and a capital gain for Nordea of approximately SEK 50m will be
booked in Q2 latest.

EDB will secure continuity in operating the growing card business.
CEKAB was founded in 1989 to build the new and common infrastructure
needed at the time. As the card business has matured a clearer
division of responsibilities between the infrastructure vendors and
the banks is preferred and achieved by this transaction.
