RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 26, 2007 -- Mi-Co, the mobile data capture
company, announced today that Chris Joyce, President of Logical
Progression, will be presenting at the Mi-Co User Days on April 24th and
25th being held at the Hilton Raleigh-Durham Airport in Research Triangle
Park, NC.
Chris will demonstrate how his company's Logical Ink solution uses the
Mi-Co SDK to integrate with electronic medical records (EMRs). Logical Ink
enhances the EMR solution by providing an intuitive and easy-to-use Tablet
PC interface to forms-based data collection, eliminating the need for
scanning. The form templates are prefilled using an industry-standard HL7
interface and, once completed, the raw data and form images are extracted
and forwarded automatically to the EMR.
"As a Mi-Co healthcare partner, we've seen an increased demand for
paperless workflow in hospitals, physician offices and clinical trials,"
says Chris Joyce. He adds, "The patient experience is great because they
are used to a pen on paper metaphor and we offer the same metaphor on
electronic paper. We have been very pleased with the Mi-Forms platform
because we can build intelligent, paper-like electronic forms that validate
the data at the point of capture. I am looking forward to sharing these
implementation experiences with both Mi-Forms end users and partners."
"Many healthcare organizations are buried in paper," stated Carolee Nail,
Mi-Co Vice President, "and Chris has extensive experience in reducing this
paperwork burden. This presentation will provide organizations with
excellent ideas on how to reduce costs and gain productivity as they move
toward a paperless world."
Chris Joyce has a decade of experience in the electronic forms industry.
Before founding Logical Progression in 2005, he served as Director of
Software Development and Support for Addressograph Healthcare.
