Fortis, Royal Bank of Scotland et Santander (ci-après "les Banques") ont envoyé ce jour un courrier à ABN AMRO confirmant leur présence à la rencontre prévue le lundi 23 avril prochain, en vue de clarifier leurs intentions et leur intérêt pour ABN-AMRO. Les Banques sont certaines que ces intentions sont transparentes, du point de vue des actionnaires, des autorités de marché ou de leur mise en oeuvre.
Les Banques accueillent positivement l'occasion qui leur est donnée de présenter leur proposition à ABN AMRO, afin qu'elle puisse être prise en considération par le Conseil d'ABN AMRO au même titre que d'autres propositions de Barclays.
