Community Banks of Northern California to Open First Branch in Downtown Sacramento

Brings on Board New President, Senior Vice President and Vice President

TRACY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 25, 2007 --Following on the heals of its new Lathrop branch opening, Community Banks of Northern California (CBNC), a leading community bank headquartered in Tracy, announced that it will open its first Sacramento branch. Bank officials are currently working with commercial brokers to secure the best location in downtown Sacramento, and expect to officially open its Sacramento doors for business in the third quarter of 2007. In preparation of its Sacramento opening, CBNC also announced the addition of new personnel for the Sacramento branch, including Cathleen Dougherty, president/Sacramento market; Audrey Scott, senior vice president/commercial lending; and Debi Llata, vice president/relationship manager.

"Since our founding in 1983, we've never strayed from our original goal to put communities first," said Tom Havens, president and CEO of Community Banks of Northern California. "As a result, we've earned the trust and respect of our neighbors in the San Joaquin Valley and the East Bay of Northern California. Under the leadership of Cathleen -- who has an esteemed track record -- we expect to receive a warm reception in the Sacramento Valley as well."

Cathleen Dougherty, named president/Sacramento market, brings more than 30 years of financial management experience to the bank including both large bank along with community banking experience. Her overall responsibilities include the Sacramento market as well as El Dorado, Placer and Yolo counties and overseeing CBNC's loan office in Rocklin. In addition to her extensive professional experience, Dougherty has dedicated many years of service to the local community, including chair positions with the American Red Cross, the American Lung Association, Mercy General Hospital, St. Francis High School, the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, Christian Brothers High School, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and many other organizations. She is a member of the American Management Association, and is a graduate of California State University Sacramento with a B.S. degree in business and finance.

Audrey Scott, the new senior vice president/commercial lending division, comes from a long line of commercial real estate construction professionals. Her hands-on practical experience in construction and development provides her an edge over more traditional bankers. In addition, she also has experience in both 'big bank' lending and community banking. She is a member of the Sacramento Builders Exchange, Association of Commercial Real Estate, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. She earned her B.S. and M.B.A. degrees in finance (with a minor in architecture) from the University of Oklahoma.

Debi Llata is vice president/relationship manager for CBNC's new Sacramento branch. She is responsible for the treasury management department, and is also accountable for developing quality business relationships within the Sacramento community. Llata has been in the financial industry for 30 years, and has specialized in commercial banking for 16 years. She attended the University of California, San Diego, and currently holds the position of secretary for the Community Association Institute (CAI).

"We've assembled a well-rounded, experienced team of banking professionals, and look forward to serving the Greater Sacramento area," said Cathleen Dougherty, president/Sacramento market. "The new Sacramento branch will provide local residents, as well as small and medium-sized businesses, with the banking products and services they need -- all with a fresh approach of friendly, personal service."

Until the new Sacramento branch officially opens its doors, Dougherty and her staff will share office space in CBNC's loan office in Rocklin.
