Sampo Life Insurance Company's holding in Suominen Corporation down to 3.04 per cent

Suominen Corporation has today received a notification of change in holdings in 
accordance with section 9, chapter 2 of the Securities Markets Act:             

After transaction made on 2 May 2007, Sampo Life Insurance Company's total      
ownership of Suominen Corporation has decreased to 720,024 shares, which        
corresponds to 3.04 per cent of the Company's share capital and voting rights.  

The registered number of issued shares of Suominen Corporation totals 23,720,112
