Emulex Receives AeA High-Tech Innovation Award for VMPilot Management Software Application

Nation's Largest Technology Association Recognizes Emulex VMPilot as the Best Computer Storage Product for 2007


COSTA MESA, Calif., May 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Emulex Corporation was awarded best Computer Storage Product for its VMPilot(tm) management application at AeA's 14th Annual High-Tech Innovation Awards. The High-Tech Innovation Awards were presented by the Orange County and Inland Empire Council of AeA on the evening of May 10 honoring Southern California's top innovators in technology and education.

Emulex VMPilot is a new management software application designed for Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 environments. Emulex VMPilot works with Emulex's family of 4Gb/s LightPulse(r) Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) and allows end users to maintain SAN best practices when deploying a virtualized server environment.

The 14th Annual High-Tech Innovation Awards were presented at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach on May 10, 2007. AeA set record levels for nominations and attendance with more than 125 nominations received and 20 innovators recognized. The sold-out dinner and awards ceremony drew nearly 600 luminaries from local high-tech companies, financial and government institutions as well as academic leaders, educators, students, investors and media affiliates.
