Mi-Co Solidifies Partner Strategy Naming Melissa Neal VP of Channel Sales

Company Also Announces Retirement of Software Veteran Barrett Joyner and Names Joyner Mi-Co VP of Marketing Emeritus

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC--(Marketwire - May 31, 2007) - Mi-Co, the mobile data capture company, announced today that Melissa Neal has been hired into the newly created position of Vice President of Channel Sales. Neal previously served as the Director of Reseller Strategies at Global Software.

"Over the last several years, Mi-Co's partner centric model has been highly successful. Our Vice President of Operations, Carolee Nail, has nurtured our partner program from the beginning and the level of success that Mi-Co has achieved, as Carolee did 'double duty,' is truly remarkable," said Dr. Greg Clary, Mi-Co CEO. "Hiring Melissa will allow Mi-Co to take a much more proactive role in identifying and recruiting partners as we focus even more resources on our channel sales strategy."

Neal received both a bachelors degree and an MBA from North Carolina State University in Raleigh and spent four years in the North Carolina Department of Commerce as Business Development Manager for IT Industries. In this role, Neal worked with companies that looked to expand through the development of international partner channels.

"I have interacted with Mi-Co senior management for a number of years and have followed the company's success," stated Neal, "and I welcome the opportunity to join a company with such excellent technology as well as such outstanding people."

Mi-Co also announced the retirement from the high technology scene of software veteran Barrett Joyner. Joyner served as Senior VP of Mi-Co for the last five years and previously spent fourteen years at SAS in a number of capacities including Vice President of Sales and Marketing and President of SAS North America. In addition, Joyner was Executive Vice President at SciQuest and CEO of startup software company, FullSeven Technologies. After 25 years in the software industry, Joyner is pursuing opportunities in the nonprofit development arena.

"Mi-Co has achieved a high level of success, the company has an excellent management team in place and the partner-centric model is working. I thought it was a good time to change careers," said Joyner,"and since the Yankees were set at short stop, I decided to look for opportunities in the nonprofit world."

"We asked Barrett to continue to be part of the Mi-Co family and he will be serving as Mi-Co's VP of Marketing Emeritus," stated Clary, "We appreciate that Barrett will continue to be part of the brain trust at Mi-Co."
