TORONTO--(Marketwire - July 18, 2007) - BrandIntel, a leader in consumer and market
intelligence solutions, today announced that Mark De Paoli, pharmaceutical
analyst, BrandIntel, will participate in a live podcast interview on
"Measuring Consumer Sentiment About Prescription Drugs." The podcast will
be hosted by John Mack, publisher and editor at Pharma Marketing News, and
will focus on how pharmaceutical companies can gain critical insight from
analyzing online consumer-generated content in blogs, discussion boards,
chat rooms, and forums. Mark will also discuss how such data provided by
BrandIntel can allow companies to make better business decisions regarding
their brands.
The Pharma Marketing Talk podcast will focus on a recent report that
BrandIntel issued, "Botox: Capital Markets Consumer Insight Monitor" which
tracked and analyzed online buzz for each brand from January 2005 -
February 2007. The BrandIntel study found that although consumer
perceptions for Restylane have remained fairly neutral, Botox has seen an
increase in consumer sentiment, indicating that consumers are more
accepting of its use since its introduction into the market a few years
ago. Mark will discuss these findings as well as the broader implications
of how pharmaceutical marketers can leverage online buzz to better
understand consumers.
