WHO: Representatives from the Latin American Youth Center, East Capitol Center for Change, Living Classrooms Foundation, Healthy Families/Thriving Communities, and Social Solutions WHAT: The nonprofit industry is fueled by passionate people who often find themselves with limited resources, structures and systems to do their jobs well. As a result, many organizations are running ineffective programs wrought with inefficiencies. This week, a number of revolutionary nonprofit organizations from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area will gather to address this menacing challenge. Social Solutions, nationally recognized for empowering human service providers and the organizations that fund them to strategically tie their efforts to measurable outcomes, in connection with the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington, will be holding a roundtable event focusing on this and other tough issues facing nonprofits today. With a shared vision, the group will aim to facilitate discussions, promote collaboration and ultimately affect change in the way nonprofit organizations are run. The event will scrutinize compliance reporting challenges as well as communications barriers between service providers and their funding institutions. In addition, it will demonstrate how relating efforts to outcomes enables organizations to more effectively serve their constituents, report value in the form of measurable results and improve organizational performance.
