East Delta Releases Positive Drilling Results At Bake

MONTREAL, Aug. 20, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- East Delta Resources Corp. (OTCBB:EDLT) (Frankfurt:EJK) today announced results of recent drilling activity at its main exploration gold property at Bake, Guizhou Province, China.

While the size of East Delta's gold concession is 85 sq. km., the drilling activity thus far has been confined to a small 2 sq. km. zone, chosen as a result of positive data from prior geochemical and geophysical work. This latest drill program called for six holes at an average depth of approximately 200 meters each, with total drilling being 1132 meters.

Major results are as follows.

 * In all drill holes, gold-bearing quartz veins were found, with two
holes (designated as Holes no. 7 and no. 12) showing three such
   quartz veins.
 * The Au (gold) contents in the quartz veins and wall rocks were
analyzed, with the highest substantive value being assayed at 4.69
g/T over a length of 0.47 meters (in Hole no. 12).
 * In addition to relatively high gold values found in Hole no. 12,
several grains of visible gold were found in some core samples.

All core samples were sent to three different laboratories for analysis and results from the most conservative of the three labs are being published.

East Delta's geologists have concluded that there are likely two ore bodies in the exploration region specifically focused on the area in and around Holes no. 7 and 12, and that more exploration work is definitely warranted.

Mr. Victor Sun, CEO of East Delta, noted, "We interpret the data as very positive and are very encouraged by these results. They continue to show the potential of this region. Upon further evaluation of these results, we intend to continue the work at Bake."
