Anders Quist named Head of Business Development for Axfood AB

Anders Quist, Vice President of Willys AB, has been named as the new Head of
Business Development for Axfood AB. He will assume his new position on 1
September.

Quist, 54, has a long record of experience in both the Axfood Group and the
Swedish retail food industry. At Axfood he participated from the start in 2000
in the development of the Willys chain, while in the retail food industry he
started discount retailing in Stenungsund and participated in the development of
the Billhäll chain, which eventually became part of Axfood. Anders Quist also
has seven years of experience as a grocer with three of his own stores.

“I have worked by entire adult life in food retailing, and business development
is a natural part of my professional aspiration. It is also important for a
group like Axfood to have someone outside of the line operations who can focus
full-time on product-line strategy, pricing and concept changes. I am truly
looking forward to this,” says Quist.

Anders Strålman, President and CEO of Axfood comments: “With the current rapid
pace of development in the retail food industry, we need someone with Anders
Quist's experience, know-how and contact network in our strategic work.”

Anders Quist will assume his position as Head of Business Development on 1
September and will be a member of the Executive Committee, which will be
increased to eleven persons.
