SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 11, 2007) - BEAWorld 2007 -- Skyway Software, the
experts in simplifying software delivery through model-based, collaborative
tools and iterative processes, announces today a partnership with BEA
Systems, Inc., a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software. As
part of the partnership, Skyway Software will integrate its products with
BEA AquaLogic® Registry Repository. This partnership combines an
integrated development and deployment platform with SOA lifecycle
governance to help enterprises reduce architecture-build costs and improve
business agility.
The Skyway Software and BEA partnership promises simpler software delivery
for a wide variety of customers as it can help enable enterprises to use
existing technology to create new SOA-based programs, particularly useful
in fast-paced, customer-driven market sectors like retail and finance.
Skyway Software is leveraging the BEA Metadata Interoperability Framework
to plug into BEA AquaLogic Registry Repository, a key component of the BEA
WorkSpace 360 vision. Through the ease of this out-of-the-box integration
enabled by BEA Metadata Interoperability Framework, BEA AquaLogic Registry
Repository can automatically collect and maintain services that are modeled
and created in Skyway Visual Workspace. Once in the repository, the
services, service assemblies and related assets, are governed and made
available for broader reuse.
"Skyway Software's modeling tool together with BEA AquaLogic Registry
Repository can help enable users to generate, govern and reuse services for
their SOA applications," said Paul Patrick, vice president and chief
architect of BEA Systems. "With this announcement, BEA continues its SOA
leadership role by providing customers with additional capabilities for its
proven, market-leading registry repository."
The combination of BEA AquaLogic Registry Repository and Skyway Visual
Workspace™ supports SOA lifecycle governance, architecture alignment,
optimized software reuse and can provide measurable value to all sizes of
enterprises. Skyway Visual Workspace™ enables software developers to
work alongside business end-users to visually prototype business
requirements and then develop and deploy software directly from the model.
BEA AquaLogic Registry Repository is designed to enable firms to gain
visibility, traceability and control of their SOA through effective
governance.
"Combining our collaborative tools and processes with BEA governance
technologies can help enable our joint customers to drive real business
innovation and outstanding results," said Sean Walsh, president and CEO of
Skyway Software.
In addition to the integration, Skyway will resell BEA AquaLogic Enterprise
Repository in support of SOA governance and service delivery.
