ASCAP Announces Music Line-Up for Inaugural SWERVE FESTIVAL

Featured Artists Include We Are Scientists, DeVotchKa, The Black Angels, Bonde Do Role, and More


LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 13, 2007) - ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) in partnership with FUEL TV is pleased to announce the music line-up for the 2007 SWERVE FESTIVAL -- a new festival celebrating West Coast culture. The Festival will be held September 28-30, 2007 at Barnsdall Art Park, the Vista Theatre and the Echoplex in Los Angeles, CA. Performances will take place on September 29 and 30 and are free and open to the public.

The dynamic line-up features live music performances by an eclectic mix of internationally known headline acts, as well as critically acclaimed up-and-coming artists, including The Black Angels (Austin, TX), Bonde Do Role (Brazil), DeVotchKa (Denver, CO), Foreign Born (Los Angeles, CA), Illinois (Bucks County, PA), Oh No! Oh My! (Austin, TX), Snowden (Atlanta, GA), Thee More Shallows (San Francisco, CA) and We Are Scientists (Brooklyn, NY).

SWERVE FESTIVAL, an initiative of FUEL TV, is dedicated to celebrating West Coast creative culture and its community inspired by art, film, music and action sports. The three-day celebration brings together a dynamic group of innovators and thinkers and will spotlight some of the most exciting work to come out of these creative disciplines.
