"This is a well-deserved promotion to an individual who is always going above and beyond in both her professional and personal life," said Jerry Gregory, senior vice president and northern NV regional manager of City National Bank. "Lori epitomizes the type of work ethics every employer dreams of having work for them while customers appreciate her attention to detail and commitment to providing them with service standards second to none."

Prior to joining City National and its predecessor in 1999, Haney worked for Pioneer Citizens Bank for two years as a vice president and branch manager in Carson City. She began her banking career with First Interstate Bank in 1981 and worked her way up to financial service manager for three Carson City branches before leaving the bank in 1997. Haney has held a number of positions in both the sales and serving side of the banking industry, including teller, business development officer, customer service manager, branch manager and more.

Haney is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She is currently in her second year of the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington, which is the graduate school of banking. Haney is also actively involved in the community serving on a number of nonprofit boards and community organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada and the Carson City Rotary Club.

"Professional recognition is an important part of my career goals, but my greatest satisfaction comes from taking care of clients and helping them succeed in their personal and professional lives," said Haney. "Banking is high touch business that requires a great deal of listening and delivering on the promise to exceed client expectations. Taking care of people is what I enjoy most about my job and I appreciate Jerry and City National for giving me this wonderful opportunity to provide my clients with premier banking products and services."

Haney manages one of the bank's largest branches in Nevada in terms of total deposits, which amounts to more than $100 million. City National's Carson City branch is the fifth largest bank in this market, which has 21 FDIC insured banking locations throughout the area. Today, City National enjoys approximately 10 percent of the market share for total deposits. City National and its predecessor bank has out performed much larger national banks in this market for deposit growth the past three years.
