PricewaterhouseCoopers Announces Leadership Adventure Video Contest

Undergraduate Business Students Invited to Submit Two-Minute Videos Addressing 'What Makes a Great Leader?'

NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- What makes a great leader? PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP is asking undergraduate business students nationwide to answer that question with two-minute videos for the chance to win $3,000 scholarships. Five contest winners will be selected and, in addition to the scholarships, will be invited to attend the 2008 PwC Leadership Adventure, a program for high-achieving college students interested in Accounting or Information Technology careers.

Currently in its third year, the PricewaterhouseCoopers Leadership Adventure (www.pwcleadershipadventure.com) will select approximately 200 top students from among hundreds of applicants to attend the 2008 event. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors interested in Accounting or Information Technology careers and currently enrolled in a U.S. college or university are eligible to participate. Those accepted into the program will spend three days with PwC partners and professionals learning advanced leadership skills that they can later use on campus, in internships and beyond. This year's program is being held in Chicago, July 23-25.

"Creativity and leadership are complementary traits," said Bob Daugherty, U.S. Sourcing Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers. "Our 'What Makes a Great Leader' contest and the Leadership Adventure are opportunities for undergraduate students to demonstrate both. And for PwC they are great ways to promote educational opportunities for a promising group of tomorrow's business leaders."

Undergraduate business students nationwide are encouraged to be creative and resourceful as they write, direct and edit their two-minute videos. Students can learn more about the contest and upload their video entries at www.pwc.tv/videocontest. Videos will be accepted at the site between January 29 and February 29. Winners will be announced in April.

In keeping with PwC's long tradition of community involvement, a day for community service is newly added to this year's Leadership Adventure agenda. PwC's three core values are leadership, teamwork and excellence. Community service projects provide the opportunity to further develop these values and see them in action.
