BILIA’S SUBSIDIARY SÄFVEÅN WINS LONG-STANDING DISPUTE
The Göteborg city court today totally dismissed the litigation company Pacta’s claim for damages against Bilia’s subsidiary Säfveån AB (formerly AB Probo). Säfveån was granted compensation for legal costs totalling SEK 14 million. The reason for this dispute was the investment opportunities that were offered by companies including Säfveån in the 1980s. The undercapitalised litigation company Pacta entered a claim for compensation on behalf of some 350 investors totalling approximately SEK 120 million or SEK 90 million plus interest. Bilia’s CEO Jan Pettersson made the following comment. “It has taken many years to reach a decision and it is extremely pleasing finally to receive confirmation from the court of our previously published assessment of this matter.”
